SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Take care not to scratch the body or the related parts.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
Remove these items:
Kick panel, driver's side
Front door sill trim, driver's side
Sliding door sill trim, driver's side
B-pillar lower trim, driver's side
Rear side trim panel, left side
Pull the carpet back as needed.
Disconnect the fuel fill door opener cable (A) from the opener (B).
Detach the clips (C, D, E) from the body with a clip remover.
Release the opener cable from the clip (F, G, H), and remove the cushion
tape pieces (I), then remove the fuel fill door latch (J) from the body
by turning it 90 °.
Remove the fuel fill door opener cable from the vehicle.
NOTE: Take care not to bend or kink the cable.
Install the opener cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
