Honda Odyssey Service Manual: Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement

Front

  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

  1. Remove the grommet (A), then disconnect the wheel speed sensor connector (B).

  2. ABCD6 x 1.0 mm9.3 N·m (0.95 kgf·m, 6.9 lbf·ft)
  3. Remove the clamp (C), the clip, and the wire guide rubber.

  4. Remove the bolt and the wheel speed sensor (D).

  5. Install the wheel speed sensor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

    • Do not twist the sensor wires.

    • If the wheel speed sensor comes in contact with the hub bearing unit, it is faulty.

    • Make sure there is no debris in the sensor mounting hole.


Rear

  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

  1. Remove the clip (A), then disconnect the wheel speed sensor connector (B).

  2. ABCDE6 x 1.0 mm9.3 N·m (0.95 kgf·m, 6.9 lbf·ft)
  3. Remove the wire guide rubbers and the clips.

  4. Remove the bolt and the wheel speed sensor (C).

  5. Remove the wire guide rubber (D) from the clamp (E), then pull out the wire harness from between the subframe and the body.

  6. Install the wheel speed sensor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

    • Do not twist the sensor wires.

    • If the wheel speed sensor comes in contact with the hub bearing unit, it is faulty.

    • Make sure there is no debris in the sensor mounting hole.
