Honda Odyssey Service Manual: Installation

NOTE: The MICU which is part of the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box is a component of the immobilizer system. Because of this construction, the MICU must be registered when the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box is replaced, or the vehicle will not start.

With keyless access system

  1. Install the relays and connect the connectors to the under-dash fuse/relay box, then install the under-dash fuse/relay box in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure steps 1 to 4.

  1. If the under-dash fuse/relay box is replaced, register the keyless access system. If the original under-dash fuse/relay box is installed, go to step 5.

  1. Do the remaining steps of battery terminal reconnection procedure.

  1. Confirm that all systems work properly.


Without keyless access system

  1. Install the relays and connect the connectors to the under-dash fuse/relay box, then install the under-dash fuse/relay box in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure steps 1 to 4.

  1. If the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box is replaced, go to step 5. If the original driver's under-dash fuse/relay box is installed, go to step 10.

  1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

  1. Select IMMOBI from the SYSTEM SELECTION MENU, then select IMMOBILIZER SETUP.

  1. Select the REPLACE MPCS/MICU/IMOES, then select the suitable menu from the HDS indications.

  1. After registration, confirm that the vehicle will start.

  1. Do the remaining steps of battery terminal reconnection procedure.

  1. Confirm that all systems work properly.
