Honda Odyssey Service Manual / Body / Doors and Enclosures / Doors / Vertical and Horizontal Adjustment at the Rear / Resetting the Power Sliding Door Control Unit/Re-Homing the Power Sliding Doors

Rehome the power sliding doors whenever the power sliding door is manually opened after the battery power is disconnected from the power sliding door control unit (battery disconnected, control unit disconnected, etc.) or after replacing a power sliding door component. If the door was opened with the power disconnected, manually close the door once before doing the following rehoming procedure.

  1. Clear the power sliding door DTCs by removing the No. B16 (10 A) fuse from the under-hood fuse/relay box.

  1. Turn off the main switch for the doors. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).

  1. Fully close the power sliding door manually (the control unit must see the full latch switch closed and the ratchet switch open at the same time).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). Turn on the main switch.

  1. Test the door operation with the power sliding door switch, the remote transmitter, and the door handles.
