Windshield

NOTE: Be careful not to scratch or damage the hood and the body.

  1. Remove the windshield wiper arms.

  1. Remove the cowl cover.

  1. Disconnect the 5P connector (A) from the windshield wiper motor (B).

  2. AC9.4 N?m (0.96 kgf?m, 6.9 lbf?ft)BD
  3. Remove the three bolts (C) and wiper linkage assembly (D).

  1. Remove the connection rod (A) from the linkage (B).

  2. ABEFC31.4 N·m (3.20 kgf·m, 23.2 lbf·ft)D9.4 N?m (0.96 kgf?m, 6.9 lbf?ft)
  3. Remove the nuts (C, D) and separate the linkage from the windshield wiper motor (E).

  4. Remove the two nuts, and separate the windshield wiper motor from the linkage assembly (F) through the hole.


Installation

  1. Before installing the motor, connect the 5P connector to the wiper motor, and turn the windshield wiper/washer switch ON to (LO) or (HI) position, then OFF to return the motor shaft to the park position.

    NOTE:

    • Do not use the windshield wiper/washer switch (INT) position in this step.

    • Apply multipurpose grease to the moving parts.

  1. Install the wiper motor to the wiper linkage assembly in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Install the linkage to the wiper motor shaft, then align the wiper linkage assembly.

  2. 1.2 ?
  3. After installation, adjust the wiper arms.
