  1. Install the VSA modulator-control unit (A) onto the bracket (B).

    2. AB6 x 1.0 mm9.3 N·m (0.95 kgf·m, 6.9 lbf·ft)6 x 1.0 mm9.3 N·m (0.95 kgf·m, 6.9 lbf·ft)

  1. Install the VSA modulator-control unit (A) with the bracket (B) to the body, then install the VSA modulator-control unit bracket mounting bolts (C).

    2. ABC6 x 1.0 mm9.3 N·m (0.95 kgf·m, 6.9 lbf·ft)C6 x 1.0 mm9.3 N·m (0.95 kgf·m, 6.9 lbf·ft)

  1. Align the connecting surface of the VSA modulator-control unit 32P connector (A) to the VSA modulator-control unit.

  2. Pull down the lever (B) of the VSA modulator-control unit 32P connector, then confirm the connector is fully seated.


  1. Connect the 10 mm brake lines and the 12 mm brake lines to the VSA modulator-control unit (A).

    NOTE: The brake lines are connected to the master cylinder (B), the left-rear (C), the right-front (D), the left-front (E), and the right-rear (F) brake systems.

    2. E10 x 1.0 mm 15 N·m (1.5 kgf·m, 11 lbf·ft)D10 x 1.0 mm 15 N·m (1.5 kgf·m, 11 lbf·ft)C10 x 1.0 mm 15 N·m(1.5 kgf·m, 11 lbf·ft)F10 x 1.0 mm 15 N·m(1.5 kgf·m, 11 lbf·ft)B 12 x 1.0 mm 22 N·m(2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)A

  1. Install the air cleaner.

  1. Bleed the brake system.

  1. Do the VSA modulator-control unit update.

  1. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization procedure.
